Merchant Street Bridge

HO scale Kit #2009
vehicles, figures and scenery not included.
The Prototype: The Merchant Street
Bridge is based on bridges built in the 1920's and 30's of which many are
still in use today. These bridges were made of reinforced concrete
with a double track mainline traveling overhead. Many of these bridges
were built to eliminate grade crossings and promote safer passage for
automobiles and pedestrians in urban areas. Some of these bridges
where in a simpler style, ours happens to be in a more ornate style.
After all, its going down Merchant Street.
The Kit: The kit is made of a type
of strong white hydrocal. It includes four wing walls, 3 piers, and a
two part deck split down the center. It is a double track bridge.
It also includes laser cut material for the side walks and roadway signs for
the underpass. Complete "photo" instructions are included to make
assembly and painting easy and fun!
This will make a 58 scale foot double track bridge.
