Monroe Models was founded by myself, Bruce Monroe. I have
been a life long model maker and more importantly, model railroad builder.
After graduating from Bemidji State University with a degree in Industrial
Technology with emphasis areas in Model Building, Manufacturing Management,
and Industrial Design, I embarked in a career of model making and
design.
Monroe Models was started as a
custom model making business and later as a manufacture of model
railroad kits. I have designed models for architectural,
prototype, and display purposes. I have produced hundreds of kits,
parts, molds, castings, etc. for other hobby industry manufactures since
1994. Since 2002 I have been manufacturing my own line of Model Railroad kits.
I have increased Monroe Models
capacity to produce quality models by adding in house laser cutting along with producing model masters,
production molds, urethane castings, hydrocal castings and spin cast metal
parts. I hope you enjoy my offerings and always encourage new ideas or
